Trade binder and print finisher, Hammonds (a member of The Charlesworth Group) has expanded its services with the addition of a spiral binding line in order to open up new markets.
The Wakefield based company already offered extensive perfect and case binding services, as well as saddle stitching and other print finishing such as laminating, and saw spiral binding as a market with potential. The line is now fully operational producing over 25k spiral bound books a month during busy periods. As the demand for this work increases, further investment is anticipated to complement the existing line.
Managing Director David Boothman said of the investment,
Recognising the demand for spiral bound publications, particularly in the educational sector, we knew that this would be a great opportunity for us to open new doors. It also means that we can offer existing clients wider choice.
One of the largest book binders in the North of England, Hammonds is accredited to both the ISO 9001 Quality standard and the ISO 14001 Environmental standard.
