During recent years Hammonds has made significant investment in new plant and equipment at their purpose built premises in Wakefield, ensuring their long-term environmental best practice objectives continue to be met.

The bindery's enviable green offering provides all the top quality book binding and print finishing services you would expect together with the added bonus of being environmentally sound. The employment of the most efficient equipment, energy saving compressors, automated recycling of waste and finishing options such as recyclable laminate, means that buyers can place orders knowing that products are as environmentally friendly as possible which is increasingly important to the client and end user.

Hammonds Wins Award for Fine Binding

The winning entry 'The Arundel Choirbook', was typeset and printed by Charlesworth and case bound by Hammonds. The Group was specifically selected to produce the entire publication from typesetting and printing through to quarter binding in leather with gold blocking on the spine and cover.

The large format book was described by the judges as "the clear winner" for the category and complimented the Group on their "beautiful" printing as well as the quality of binding.

The book was published by a member of the exclusive Roxburghe Club, as during their lifetime each club member must sponsor a publication of historic significance.

The Charlesworth Group has recently made significant investment in extending and refurbishing existing premises to co-locate printing operations alongside its binding lines creating a leaner, more cost efficient operation.

Hammonds continues to offer commercial binding and finishing services to the printing trade. With more efficient production, capacity for the provision of Hammonds quality perfect and case binding services has been greatly increased.
